Tomatoes under cheese in the oven - general principles of cooking

The main ingredients are tomatoes and cheese.

We choose tomatoes of medium size, ripe, but not overripe. They can be cut into circles half a centimeter thick, or divided in half. These are the easiest ways to prepare tomatoes.

If you spend a little more time, you can remove the middle from the tomatoes and fill the vacant place with some filling: minced meat, mushrooms, bacon and herbs.

For cooking, most often we use hard cheese. It is easier to grate. Grind it with large or small straws. There are cooking options in which we cut the cheese into slices.

We complement the tomato dish with cheese in the oven with sour cream, mustard, eggs and other ingredients.

It is good to add dried or fresh basil, freshly ground black pepper. We can’t salt the dish.

Preheat the oven to 180-200 degrees and do it in advance. We place the ingredients on a greased baking sheet or on another baking dish. It can be covered with a piece of foil or baking paper.

• two garlic cloves;

• 25 gr. dried basil.

Cooking method:

We cut the tomatoes clean and wiped with a paper towel or napkin in half.

Pour olive oil into a plate. Add the finely chopped garlic and dried basil.

Stir and get the sauce. We heat tomatoes in it and coat them on all sides.

We put the tomatoes in a baking dish.

We send vegetables to the oven (200 degrees) for twenty minutes.

At this time, grind the cheese into straws. To do this, use a food processor or ordinary grater.

• 0.100 kg of cheese;

• 0.200 kg of minced meat and mushrooms;

• 0.15 l of sour cream;

• one onion;

• sunflower oil;

• pepper;

• salt;

• half a bunch of dill.

Cooking method:

Cut off the tops of the tomatoes and gently remove the pulp. We use a teaspoon for this procedure.

Sprinkle the inside of the tomatoes with salt, turn over, put on a plate and leave for half an hour to stack the juice.

Finely chop the mushrooms and onion. We lay them out in separate plates.

Heat a frying pan with a little oil and fry the onions until transparent.

Add minced meat and cook for another five minutes. Stir the contents of the pan.

We put slices of mushrooms and continue cooking for another ten minutes. Add salt and pepper.

After cooking, set aside a mixture of mushrooms and minced meat for cooling.

Rub a thin piece of cheese with a thin straw and send it to a plate.

Add sour cream to the mushroom mixture and mix everything. We get the filling for the tomatoes.

We place onion rings on top. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.

Sweet pepper cut into small pieces. We spread them evenly on tomatoes.

We cover the tomatoes with a garlic-mayonnaise mixture, sprinkle with plenty of cheese.

We put in the oven for twenty minutes (180 degrees).

Recipe 6. Tomatoes under cheese in the oven with bacon and salad


• five tomatoes;

• 100 gr. cheese;

• two leaves of salad;

• 200 gr. bacon.

Cooking method:

Four tomatoes cut into thin rings. Put them on the prepared form.

We cut the fifth tomato into small pieces.

Grind the cheese into straws using a grater.

Cut the bacon very thinly into small slices.

Tear the salad into small pieces.

Cover the tomato slices with two pinches of cheese and three slices of bacon.

Cover with lettuce leaves.

• 100 gr. crab sticks;

• 180 gr. cheese;

• two garlic cloves;

• 100 gr. mayonnaise;

Cooking method:

We cut tomatoes into circles no more than half a centimeter thick.

Rub the cheese coarsely.

Grind crab sticks into small pieces.

Add garlic crushed by garlic press and mayonnaise to them. We mix everything.

Place the circles of tomatoes on a baking sheet. Spread the crab mixture on top and sprinkle more cheese.

Bake in the oven for ten minutes at 180 degrees.

• five tomatoes;

• four tablespoons of art. mayonnaise;

• four tablespoons of Art. Parmesan cheese and mozzarella;

• one spoonful of Art. mustard plain and grainy;

• one teaspoon of dried oregano;

• ½ teaspoon of salt and pepper;

• two branches of parsley.

Cooking method

In a small bowl, mix the Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise and mustard.

Season with pepper, salt and oregano. We get a delicious filling.

Cut the tomatoes into rings of 4-5 mm and lay them on a baking sheet, oiled.

  • Purchased mayonnaise can be replaced with natural yogurt or sour cream. Only they need to be mixed with a small amount of fresh lemon juice.

  • Soft cheese will not work. Therefore, if there is no other, it is better to cut it into slices or use it for filling tomatoes.

  • Garlic should be put in moderation, otherwise it will kill the creamy cheese flavor. But to completely abandon it is not worth it. A small amount of garlic adds a spicy touch to the dish.

  • Tomato pulp should not be thrown away. It can be used to make salad, tomato puree soup or dressing for borsch.

  • When the recipe provides for driving eggs inside tomato jugs, the latter should be small. Otherwise, they will leak from tomatoes.
